Crystal of the week: Howlite

Crystal of the week: Howlite

Hello my beautiful little gems and welcome back to another week of crystal of the week!

This week is an exciting one because we are talking about the ultimate calming crystal: Howlite

Howlite, also known as White Buffalo, Sacred Buffalo, Lapis Howlite, White Turquoise, Silico Boro Calcite and Kaolinite. This spider web looking crystal is made up of hydrous calcium borate and creates nodules that look a lot like cauliflower heads. Howlite crystal is usually a white or light grey opaque and porous stone with grey, black, or brown. It is also most commonly dyed green or blue to resemble a Turquoise, or red to look like a Coral. But be sure not to mistake Howlite for Turquoise as they have a similar appearance.
Howlite’s name came from the first person to discover this mineral, his name is Henry How, a Canadian chemist, geologist, and mineralogist. It discovered near Windsor, Nova Scotia in 1868. Henry How was alerted to the unknown mineral by miners in a gypsum quarry, who found it to be a nuisance.
Important tip: This stone can help special needs children and all the crystal/rainbow children. Simply them wear it as jewellery, place under/inside their pillow or have them hold it in their pocket.
If you’re seeking some spiritual connection, Howlite is your crystal. This stone helps those link to their higher spiritual consciousness. Howlite opens and prepares the mind to receive the energies and wisdom of attunements.
Not only is Howlite great for connections, it is a lovely stone to use when you need to reduce anxiety, tensions and stress. As Howlite is a calming stone it will soothe all emotions and slow down that overactive mind from overthinking. It is also the stone for comfort, knowledge, memory and progress. Howlite is that powerful that most people say that it has the same effect as spending an hour in a spa. It has the ability to heal mentally, physically and emotionally.
Howlite helps those who are wanting to bring back their mental awareness, to both current and past life issues. Keep a piece of Howlite in your pocket or wear it as jewellery to absorb any angry or negative energy.
This crystal is connected to your throat, third-eye and crown chakra, mediating with it can help one to connect with the higher realms, allowing for greater communication which helps one to slowly remove the veils blocking truth.
