This week’s crystal is a good one! It’s: Celestite

Celestine or also known as celestite is a mineral consisting of strontium sulphate. Celestite is derived from the Latin adjective caelestis (cealum), meaning heaven or sky. This crystal is known for its delicate sweet celestial blue colouring. Celestite is the principal source of the element strontium, which is most commonly used in fireworks and in various metal alloys. It is also a member of the Barite Group of minerals. Celestite most commonly develops as an accessory mineral of ore veins. It is usually found in sedimentary rocks such as inside the cavities of sandstone and limestone. It occurs in the compact form, as fibrous masses and as pyramidal or tabular crystals. Also as radiating, nodular, granular, compact masses and geodes.

Celestite can been found in many places such as Libya, Egypt, Madagascar, Germany, Italy, Britain, Poland, Peru, Canada, Mexico and in the USA. This gentle vibrational crystal can be found in numerous colours, but the blue stone is the most common found, such as yellow, green, red, brown, white, or colourless crystals. 

You can get Celestite in lovely small or big clusters and you can also get tumble stones or natural pieces, which are the most common type of stone available. I recommend getting a big piece for your room as it will remove all bad vibrations from the environment. However, do not place it in direct sunlight as it will fade over time.

When working with Celestite, use it on your third-eye chakra as it can help sufferers of anxiety. This beautiful crystal can also help with meditation and promote serenity, harmony, stillness. It can also help to clear the channel to the spirit world.
