This weeks crystal is: Rose Quartz.

Rose Quartz is most commonly sourced in Brazil, Madagascar, India and South Africa and is a member of the Quartz family made up of silicon dioxide. This beautiful crystal occurs only in massive form, with no crystal faces, edges or terminations. Rose Quartz is also called Pink Quartz or Hyaline Quartz, from the Greek hyalos, meaning “glass,” and was referred to in antiquity as a Bohemian or Silesian RubyRose Quartz has been used for spells, rituals and ceremonies for centuries now and still remains the stone of hopeless romantic.

Rose Quartz is usually soft in colour, ranging from light pink to medium pink in intensity. Sometimes it can look almost purple or hazy and cloudy in appearance too. Rose Quartz, also known as the Heart Stone, is the crystal for unconditional love. It is used for attracting new love, romance and intimacy, or in developing a closer bond with family or friends. Rose Quartz supports connections with groups and community, and carries a high spiritual attunement to the Earth, Universe, and the Divine.
